Hey everyone,

I’ve been considering building a system with multiple GPUs, but I’m wondering how Intel Arc GPUs perform in multi-GPU configurations. I know NVIDIA has SLI and AMD has CrossFire for scaling up graphics power, but how well does Intel Arc GPU work in a multi-GPU setup, particularly for tasks like rendering, simulation, or deep learning?

Here are a few things I’m curious about:

 

Scalability: Does using multiple Intel Arc GPUs lead to significant performance improvements? Are there any noticeable diminishing returns, or do they scale well for demanding tasks?

Software Support: Are there any specific software packages or games that take full advantage of multi-GPU configurations with Intel Arc? How well do the drivers handle it?

Compatibility: Can you use Intel Arc GPUs alongside NVIDIA or AMD GPUs in the same system, or is it better to stick to a single brand for stability?

I’d love to hear if anyone has tried multi-GPU setups with Intel Arc and what your experience has been like.

It's worth checking if your preferred applications are designed to efficiently utilize multiple GPUs.
