Hi everyone,
I’m currently developing an image-based backup strategy using Quest Data Protection tools for a remote team environment. These systems are used heavily throughout the day, often on variable network connections, so optimizing for both speed and efficiency is critical. Each employee is equipped with an i7 Windows laptop, and one of the key challenges is balancing backup reliability with minimal impact on daily performance.
I’ve been testing different configurations, including compression levels, backup windows, and storage targets, to ensure smooth performance without compromising data protection. Ensuring consistent backups even when systems are offline or on VPN has also been a focus area.
If you've worked on a similar deployment with Quest tools in a laptop-centric setup, I’d really appreciate your experience and any performance tips you might share. Best practices around endpoint backup policies and resource usage would also be helpful.
Thanks for any input you can provide!
