LogReader and Transparent Data Encryption

When I tried to use LogReader with a database with TDE enabled, it showed me an error saying "Log Reader does not support reading log of the database with enabled SQL Server Transparant Data Encryption." in Loading Records of Read Log Wizard.

Is it really the case LogReader does not support working with a TDE enabled database or am I possibly doing something wrong?

    Hello,

    Yes, that is correct Logreader does not support TDE.

    Please note this is a technical restriction as its not possible for log reader to read the data.
