Full backups run during non-business hours and stops during business hours and resume again during non-business hours

Below is a request for enhancement to Litespeed’s functionalities. As far as I know, this feature is not available in Litespeed. Please consider adding this feature in the future release.

We have a very large environment with around 250 SQL Instances and each Instance having hundreds of DBs. For a given Instance, we have to stagger the backups across multiple days because the backups for all the DBs cannot finish within the ‘off business hours’ window that we have.

With the options currently available with Litespeed, we are only able to exclude or include databases in maintenance plans by explicitly selecting them in the backup task. However, it is becoming tough to keep track of the newly created DBs and DBs that get deleted, because we have a very dynamic environment where DBs get created and dropped all the time.

So, I would like to request to have an option in LiteSpeed to run the full backups during non-business hours and stops during business hours, and resume again during non-business hours the next day for the databases which were in the queue. Also, when picking the DB during the backup job the LiteSpeed should also check its size and the remaining time for the non-business hours.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
