Possible to only migrate files from SP07 to SPO that are newer than 7 years?

Hello, we are a content matrix customer on the latest version, we are currently migrating a few thousand sites from SP07 MOSS to Sharepoint Online, we are now processing some sites that have amalgamated a lot of data, one being over 500GB but there is around 100GB of data that is older than 7 years which will allow us to stay within our allocated spend if I can migrate the site without migrating data over X years old.

Is this possible with powershell or the ui? I haven't managed to find anything on it and would have thought this was possible.

I would stay away from filters. I find them incredibly janky to work with - sometimes they work with the azure migration mechanism and sometimes not - they are a total mess.

The transformers are the most reliable way to go here. Here is a description: https://support.quest.com/kb/262512/how-to-filter-out-items-from-migration . On this $DataObject provided in the transformer you will find modified / created date attributes. You can filter on those - i have been using it the same exactly way as you have described, migrating content that is < 7 years old modified date.
