Migrating with multiple targets and user mapping

Hello,

My org will be migrating some sites to SPO and some sites to 2016 on prem. For SPO, I need to provide a user mapping but for 2016, I don't. Will Content Matrix know when to use the user mapping and when not to? Or if I provide a user mapping, will it always try to use it regardless of the target?

    after the first time, you use it will try to use it if, under the same target site collection, it's global mapping setting after all.

    you can always verify in the migration job setup mappings options/edit global mappings if it's using it for SPO. 

    now it will do nothing if doesn't find matches on both source and target. you will get a warning that it couldn't find the user and it will use the service account/or account provided for missing users.
