Can ControlPoint remove Orphaned Domain Distribution Lists from a SharePoint 2013 sub-site ACL?

I'm trying to remove orphaned domain users. I run the report and delete the users. It works fine except when it comes to orphaned domain disto lists. I have a SharePoint ACL that has perms added via Domain DL. The DL in question no longer exists in AD. ControlPoint successfully flags the DL as Orphaned, but does not delete when I use the Delete flag in ControlPoint. Is this a limitation of ControlPoint.
