StoragePoint Profile Update Error

An error occurs when trying to update the storagepoint Profile.

The error message is below.

 

Error Unable to get control info about sptimerv4 service. Detail: ErrorMessage=Unable to open handle to Service Control Manager, ErrorCode=5, HRESULT=-2147467259, StackTrace= at Bluethread.SharePoint.StoragePoint.ServiceControl.ServiceControlManager..ctor(String hostName) at Bluethread.SharePoint.StoragePoint.SharepointExtensions.g.g()

    Hello Jun,

     

    Please ensure that the App pool and SharePoint service accounts have Administrator permissions to access the services on each server on the farm as well as create and delete the temp files that get created when BLOBs are migrated (either through the content migrator or blob migrate jobs).

     

    If the accounts do no currently have the Admin role, please manually add the administrator role/permissions for those accounts.
