Hi everyone,
I’m exploring options to improve how our environment handles large content libraries as our operations move toward more distributed, cloud-heavy workloads. We’re planning to externalize BLOBs to streamline database performance and create a cleaner path for future scaling.
In our case, the goal is to support B2B workflows where teams handle high volumes of documents, archived assets, and automated data transfers. Somewhere in the mid of this setup, the use of cloud storage becomes important, especially for content that doesn’t need to stay on high-performance tiers at all times.
Before finalizing our architecture, I’m hoping to learn from others here:
-
How well does external BLOB storage perform when most workloads shift to remote or hybrid environments?
-
Any recommended practices for balancing hot vs cold data so access doesn’t slow down?
-
Have you faced challenges when integrating cloud-based endpoints for long-term archival?
Any insights from your deployments would be appreciated. Just want to make sure we set this up in a stable, scalable way for ongoing B2B operations.
Thanks!
