AD Migration Manager Roles

Hi,

I'm currently looking at AD Migration manager documentation and am reading about the different roles (Console, Directory Sync, Statistics etc.)

Should these roles be separated or can they be installed on the same server?

    Oh and one last thing. Should these roles be installed in the source or target domain? I'm assuming Target as in my case my source domain is Windows Server 2003 and Target is 2012. So if I install in the Target I get the benefits of AD LDS as opposed to ADAM.
