We are migrating users, groups, workstations and mailboxes between 2 AD forests and we plan to use QMM for AD and Exchange.
Current setup for mail between 2 Exchange organizations is following.
1) Manual export for users and then import into other domain as contacts.
2) Distribution lists are also contacts in corresponding domain.
What is unclear in the documentation is how to configure processing of distribution lists.
I understand that we can synchronize users and or just users and then migrate groups (DLs) and as long as we migrate users prior to or together with the group, it will maintain user membership.
What is not clear is 1) how to convert email address for the group to the new one and 2) How to merge migrated group with existing contact in target directory?
If there is a reference document on this topic I would appreciate the link.
