I want to understand what are the common operations and tasks of ADPW tool.
Q1- How do I determine whether I need to run this tool or not?
Q2- Do I need to run this tool against source domain or target domain inter-forest migration project?
Q3- What exactly the meaning of
a. Process the groups with ADPW?
b. Process the objects with ADPW?
c. Process the security descriptors with ADPW?
Q4- When and where to use ADPW for process the groups, AD Objects and security descriptors? How do I determine I need to process these? What are those conditions and criteria?
Q5- In my environment, security groups were migrated (with sidhistory) from source domain to target domain. Those groups still exist in source domain. So do I still need to run this tool for process groups? Do I need to run ADPW against source and target domains both?
Kindly explain specific to above mentioned questions.
