Does it matter on which domain (source or target) the Migration manager for AD is installed? I'm planning to install it on a W2019 server on the target domain!

No. Normally we recommend the target as it will be around longer.
As a best practice, which other components are installed with the Migration manager on the same server, e.g. console, agent, stat. portal server etc?
That will usually depend on the environment, so the Professional Services team should help with that decision.
Hi Alex, thanks for your feedback. Could you pls be more specific about the dependency?
I think Jeff was pretty clear - usually the target will hang around for longer than the source, so it's easier if you install it on the target. Other components will depend on the size of the environment; small places can get away with installing multiple things in one box but it's generally better to install every single thing in a separate box.
Again, this is better handled by the PSO architects - if your business is important, you should definitely contact PSO to make sure you get the best possible design for the solution. It's not something you can just "wing it". Active Directory and Exchange E-mail is so critical to the business that you should get the best possible advice from Professional Services to ensure business continuity.
Hi Alex, installing the QMM on the target domain was clear.
We have several domains which will be migrated e.g. TEST, DEV (small) and PROD domain. For the TEST and DEV all components can be installed on one box and for the PROD in separate boxes. The setup for the trial period will be "All in One Box".
https://support.quest.com/contact-support would be the best way to go on this one mate. had to use PSO myself on a similar case
That's the plan, thanks!
