Rum Unable to process "Online" OneDrive Files and Folders

Were at the tail end of our migration and doing SIDHistory cleanup. 

During the cleanup were noticing cases of users losing access specifically to files and folders within their OneDrive For Business folders. After investigating, this seems to be specific to Files and folders Folders where the folder or the files in the folders have not been marked as "Always Keep on this computer", and have since been moved "Online" to save sapce (Files on demand)

the folders in questions will still have the users Old domain SID as the owner of the folders, and rerunning processing from the console, or Manually running vmover fails to make any changes and access issues persist. 

we have been able to work around this problem with a different tool, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen a similar problem, and found a solution?

  • Thank you for the quick answer!  Do you run that after the user has logged into their target profile?  The users do not have local administrator permissions, will this prompt them for elevated rights?  So sorry for the questions, this has been a big show stopper for us as we have about 1000 users with OneDrive desktop and documents sync.  They get a permission error when trying to access the OneDrive files after their profile has been migrated.
