AutoMapping Mailboxes

Exchange 2013 to 2016 migration QMMEX 8.14

I have a number of shared mailboxes that have been successfully migrated. Users who have full access to these mailboxes are shown as full access delegates as expected. What's not happening is the shared mailboxes are not auto mapping in Outlook. Current fix is to remove the user as a delegate, and re-add them. Found this KB that seems to state this is expected. Can someone confirm this is expected behavior?
