Quest Migration Manager for Exchange is a server based solution, which migrates data from Microsoft Exchange Server to another Exchange server in another Exchange organization, or to Exchange Online. It needs to connect to Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange servers, and it also requires a Microsoft SQL Server.
Migration Manager was build to migrate large environments, starting from several hundred, to hundreds of thousands users/mailboxes. It is usually set up by Quest Professional Services (PSO) or certified partners.
For other migration scenarios, Quest has other solutions. For smaller Exchange migrations, Quest On Demand Migration for Email (ODME) may be a suitable solution.
