Windows Server Deduplication and Netvault

Hello, does Netvault support backing up a Windows 2012 R2 fileserver that uses the dedpulication feature?

    Hello Federico,

    Yes we support backups of the Windows OS that uses Native Windows Deduplication. with our File System Plugin.

    When backing up any Windows deduped data, the data supplied by the OS to NetVault for backup is *rehydrated* before being passed to us for backup. So, as far as NetVault is concerned, the data being backed up would be seen as normal NTFS files with NTFS metadata.
