LTFS Index file

Hi , I am using IBM 3573-TL tape library with two tape drives and Quest Netvault backup version 11.3.0.12 on Windows 2012 . The data is copied on tapes / tapes in media group . I want to create Tape Index file of certain tapes & media groups. Is it possible to create index file using Netvault Backup software, if so how?  If not , then what is procedure to create tape index file in windows 2012 environment?

    Hi ,

    What is this index file for?
    You can run a report that will show you the inventory of tapes with the Media/Group Labels.
    NetVault itself keeps an an index that resides in its DB and also on the media as well, but a Report such as "Media - General" would show you all the tapes and their identification.
