restore backup to external drive

Hello,

My Netvault version is 11.3.0.12

I need restore my backup to external drive (hard drive) that is conected on my server.

Is this possible ?

I remember a long years ago that i needed VTL, but i dont have this app.

    Hello ,

    You will need to use the Rename/Relocate option when doing the restore, for example: choose the saveset then Next then you will have the backup showing all the folders choose 1 folder and while highlighted in blue click actions and use rename/relocate when the window pops up you just fill the one that says Relocate and type the letter of the external drive like this J:\

    After that you can proceed with the restore with next and save and submit.

    OK Tomas,

    I've already tried to run this process once, in which case it may be that I did something wrong. 

    I'll try again and I'll send the results.

    If you tried to run this process and still not working I will suggest to open a Service Request with NetVault Support so and engineer can determine what could be the issue.
