Extracting Notes Database Records as Rich Text format

Hello,

I want to extract Notes Applications to my desktop or to a sharepoint site as Rich Text records. In Notes the document is already in RTF format with attachments.

Can anyone help me doing this  ?

  • Hello Cagri,

Thanks for posting to the Migrator for Notes to SharePoint (MNSP) community forum. I am not sure exactly what you are looking to do. However, one of the most powerful and simple options within MNSP is to perform a "Render". In the Designer | Notes tab, select Load, then Render.pmsrc. On the SharePoint tab, select Load, then you could choose Custom.pmtrg (for a custom List), HTML, PDF, Word. You may want to try all of the target Data Definition options to find the best match for your migration project.

If the suggestion above does not meet your needs, then we would suggest creating a Service Request so that we can investigate this issue further:

  • Hi Cagri,
Please be aware that Notes Rich Text is not compatible with anything else in the world, including MS Rich Text. There are may features in Notes Rich Text (e.g. tabbed tables, collapsible sections etc.) that cannot be brought over exactly as they were in Notes.
That is why MNSP offers different options to transfer this information to SharePoint - rendered in the original Notes form (as Trevor describes) or taken from a single (or several) rich text fields, migrated to .docx, PDF, a SharePoint HTML field or many other options.
