Hi All,
We are using Quest tool ( Notes to sharepoint Migrator )to migrate Lotus notes forms into sharepoint online library as pdf documents. One of our form has more than 10000 records. The job got failed after migrating around 6000 records. Once we are trying to restart the job again for migrating rest of the records, we are unable to initiate it as the job keeps failing stating that sharepoint library has crossed the threshold limit of 5000 records.
I would like to know whether this is an expected behavior in Quest tool.? If yes, what are the alternative solution for fixing it other than below one's.
Also, i would like to know whether we can migrate records into a particular folder under a sharepoint library.?
Any help or guidance is really helpful.
Regards,
Rinu
Hi,
The 5000 item per view limit is a limit in SharePoint imposed by Microsoft, so your SharePoint design should find a way around it. Usual solutions are modifying the default view (e.g. adding an indexed filter) or using folders.

whether we can migrate records into a particular folder under a sharepoint library.?
Yes - if folders are enabled in the SharePoint library, you can map any value to a field of folder type, including subfolders.
Hope this helps,
Peter
Hi Peter,
I'm in the same position as Rinudaniel, we've started a migration that failed halfway through and now I can't restart it due to the list view threshold. Is there anything I can do to start this off again?
I have created a default view with 1 indexed column and set up a filter to filter out everything still no luck. Is the only option to delete everything in the list, start again and hope for the best?
regards,
Have you tried manually adding a new item to that list? If that works, and MNSP still cannot migrate items into that list, that would sound like a case for further investigation (or even support).
Hi Peter,
we are also facing the same issue . I could able to create item in sharepoint list .
Please advise .
