Hi everyone,
We’re in the process of migrating mailboxes between two Microsoft 365 tenants using Quest On Demand Migration for Email, and we’ve noticed a recurring issue with shared mailboxes.
While email and contacts seem to migrate properly, calendar items from shared mailboxes are either not appearing in the target tenant or are showing up with incorrect metadata (e.g., wrong organizer, missing attendees, or marked as drafts). In some cases, recurring meetings are broken into single instances or simply skipped.
We’ve confirmed that:
-
Full access permissions and impersonation are correctly configured
-
Calendar data is included in the migration scope
-
There are no throttling or quota warnings in the logs
This seems like it could be a bug related to calendar handling for shared mailboxes, but I wanted to check if anyone else has encountered this, and if there's a known workaround (e.g., migrating calendars separately, permission remapping, or reprocessing failed batches).
Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
