Announcing General Availability of KACE SMA 10.1 on December 2, 2019.
The KACE team is pleased to announce KACE Systems Management Appliance* (SMA) 10.1, as well as KACE Asset Management Appliance, and KACE as a Service is now Generally Available (GA) for sale in all regions.
KACE SMA 10.1 is a minor update, improving upon many of the solution’s traditional and popular features, while adding new support and functionality. Highlights include:
- Critical upgrade available alerts for security updates. When you are looking at updates on the Settings page and dashboard, a prominent message appears, asking you to update the appliance. The message is accompanied by a brief description.
- Service Desk import/export ticket templates. The flow is similar to importing or exporting in other areas of the appliance.
- Service Desk restricting file attachments based on file extension. For example, you can prevent end users from attaching an EXE file.
- KACE GO add attachment Add attachments to assets through KACE GO API.
- KACE GO SAML Authentication Increase security and control while reducing password reset requests. Complements KACE Appliance 10.0 version.
- Newly support OSs: Server 2019, Windows 10 v1909, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise v1809, Mac OS 10.15, Fedora 30, Oracle EL 8, Red Hat EL 8, SUSE 15, Ubuntu 19x, FreeBSD
- Patching detection performance improvement – The need for speed! Further increased speed of our new patching introduced in SMA 10.0.

*KACE AMA and KaaS use the same code base as SMA but allow for different functionality via licensing and Cloud Subscription services respectively. KaaS is sold where available.
