DR4100 failure writing to NVRAM

Hi Everyone,

We are currently having an issue with our DR 4100 appliance which went out of warranty last month where it's currently in Maintenance mode showing the following error message

Failure writing to NVRAM. Error - c00000020000000c.

We are trying to contact Support via phone but none of the numbers we have are working. (Either no one picks it up or busy tone)

Could anyone please advise how we can get in contact with Support or at least how we can download latest firmware for this appliance from the following link?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi

Here are all the numbers for all countries and continents Phone Number Listing (quest.com)

About the NVRAM, this is a hardware part that needs to be replaced.

About the download link, you need an account in that portal with a valid warranty available.

  • It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation, especially since your DR4100 appliance just went out of warranty. The "Failure writing to NVRAM. Error - c00000020000000c" issue could indicate a hardware failure or corruption in the system firmware, which might require reinstallation or an NVRAM reset.

    Steps to Try:

    1. Power Cycle the Appliance – If you haven’t already, try shutting it down completely, unplugging it for a few minutes, and restarting it.
    2. Check for Firmware Updates – If you have an active Quest account, try logging into the Quest Support Portal and manually downloading the latest firmware from this link.
    3. Accessing Quest Support – Since you're unable to reach support via phone, try these alternatives:
      • Live Chat: Quest's website often has a live chat option.
      • Submit a Ticket: If possible, submit a support request online via the Quest Support Portal.
      • Community Forums: You might find solutions or alternative ways to contact Quest through their official community forums.
      • Local Distributors/Resellers: If you purchased the appliance from a reseller, they might have a direct line to Quest support.

If you need firmware access but your warranty has expired, you may need to discuss options with Create XP786 Game Account. Some companies provide limited access to firmware updates even post-warranty, but policies vary.
