Old AppAssure versions do not officially support Windows 2016. Windows 2016 support for agents is available for Rapid Recovery version 6.3 (latest). We strongly recommend an upgrade. Note that your upgrade path may have a couple of "jumps" depending on your current AppAssure version. Rapid Recovery version 6.1.3 and later, support Windows 2016. More importantly, AppAssure versions of the product are not supported.

Yes, in order to protect Windows 2016.
As well, only Rapid Recovery versions 6.2.1 through the latest (6.3) are fully supported at this time (lifecycle support links in the post above).

Per the KB on upgrades (3rd link on 1st reply above)
Since unsupported versions are not available for download, you will have to open a new service request - https://support.quest.com/contact-support - or call the support line at 800-306-9329
after check the "About" section i found the core version is:
APPASSURE 5
COREVERSION: 5.4.2.319
i tried to create a service request, but it ask me for the "License Number".
the previous Sysadmin doesn't give it to me, if there is any methode to recover the license key

It is possible that you may have a *.lic type file laying about on that core, and you could do a search. It is sometimes named after the license number.
However, calling 800-306-9329 (support line) and providing your company name and previous associated email account (possibly the previous system administrator's) it is more likely that they can help with your legacy license, and subsequent access to download upgrade assets.
