Cannot Scan

I RDP into clients site to scan to their system using all scripts.  When I go to scan I receive a message "scan failure"  When I go into remote settings

I see "My Scanner" and the correct scanner selected.  I can do a preview and that works but when I do a scan I receive the "scan failure'.

Scanner is a Panasonic KV-S1057c.

  • This message can indicate several different issues, including issues with the scanner driver itself. If it is an issue with your scanner's driver (TWAIN or WIA, whichever you have RemoteScan using), it can often be resolved by switching RemoteScan to using the scanner's "other" driver.

The most common resolution, if it not an issue with the scanner itself, is to put RemoteScan into Memory Transfer mode. To do this, you can right-click on the RemoteScan Server icon (in the system tray of the scanning workstation) and then hold down F2 (on your keyboard) as you click "options". Once the options screen appears, check the box that says "memory transfer mode" and then save this setting. You will, of course, want to make sure that you are doing this with the most recent build of RemoteScan as well as the most recent build of your scanners drivers.
