Rapid Recovery - Updates?

why are updates not getting download or notifying the server that there are update anymore?  Since updating to RR6 it never tells me there is any updates.

I have to manually check the rapid recovery website in order to find out what is the current release.

this always worked with appassure.

  • Automatic updates are disabled from AppAssure 5.4.x to Rapid Recovery 6.x.  This is because it is a major version upgrade and we did not want to push people to the new software unless they were ready. So you will never receive a notification in AppAssure 5.4.3 that there is a new build.

Auto updates and notifications are enabled between 6.0.1 and 6.0.2.  However, if you have a custom patch installed and the defect fixed by that patch is not fixed in 6.0.2, the software will not notify you of an upgrade. This is because we do not want cores that are running a custom patch to be upgraded until it has been fixed in a release build. If you are running a build of Rapid Recovery and do not have any patches installed then it should notify you of an update (if you have the settings set to check for updates).  If you do have those things and it should be notifying you, but it's not, please open a support case so that we can investigate why that is occurring.
