I’m reaching out to get some feedback and advice regarding our current Backup and Recovery Solutions, particularly around Quest’s products. We’ve been using Quest Rapid Recovery and Quest NetVault Backup for some time now, but we’ve encountered a few challenges with our backup and recovery solutions that we’re trying to resolve.
Here are the main issues we’re facing:
- Backup Performance: As we scale our infrastructure, the speed of backups has become a concern. Despite having a solid setup, backups are taking longer than expected, especially when dealing with large volumes of data. Has anyone experienced similar delays with Quest Rapid Recovery? Are there any tweaks or best practices to optimize performance?
- Restoration Time: While backups are occurring, the restoration process seems to be much slower than we anticipated. We’ve tested various recovery scenarios, but in some cases, it’s taking longer than we’d like to get everything back online. Any advice on improving recovery time using Quest NetVault Backup?
- Cloud Integration: We are transitioning more workloads to the cloud, and we’re having difficulty seamlessly integrating our backup solutions with both on-prem and cloud environments. Is anyone using Quest’s backup products in a hybrid cloud setup? Any insights on making this integration smoother?
- Security: Data security is a major concern for us, especially with backups being stored in cloud environments. We are confident in the basic security features, but we’re wondering if there are additional configurations or tools within Quest’s products to further enhance encryption and protection, especially for sensitive data.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Quest’s Backup and Recovery Solutions? Any advice on improving backup performance, recovery times, and cloud integration would be greatly appreciated.
