Has anyone used Power BI to connect and display data from Spotlight?

Power BI can't be used to display Spotlight collection data. This was logged previously for consideration in the future release. At the moment, we use SSRS RDL files for reporting purposes. Our hosted app, Spotlight Cloud utilizes Power BI reports.

I am assuming that you are referring to Spotlight Cloud when you say "hosted application". I have been tasked with coming up with a enterprise dashboard utilizing Spotlight data. I would love to hear more about ways to accomplish this.
