Coming vRanger Pro 4.5 Promises Better Fine-Tuned Control of Speed vs Size of Backup

vRanger Pro 4.5 beta testing continues to demonstrate the value of the new feature set, including Active Block Mapping (ABM) used in combination with Change Block Tracing (CBT) and compression.

These stats show that vRanger Pro 4.5 offers fine-tuned control of the variables controlling speed of backup versus size of backup image. If administrators need to maximize the reduction in the size of their backup image, then they can use CBT, ABM and compression capabilities all combined. The tradeoff is that the backup time will be a bit higher. If administrators need, on the other hand, to maximize their speed of backup performance, then they can use CBT and ABM together without compression.
