Derived Metrics - Datastore IO Performance

Today, I'd like to spend a little time talking about derived metrics. Derived metrics are metrics that are created based on one or more already existing metrics. Examples of this include counting all of the CPU cores for every host in your environment or summing all of the Disk IO on all disks in a system. Derived metrics are very important to vFoglight, as they give you the ability to create your own values that can be used anywhere in the system and to extend the functionality already there.
