Unified Endpoint Management Trends

As your workplace has become more and more mobile, are you struggling with increased security threats and compliance concerns? It’s happening across all sectors and geographic regions. A recent Gallup survey of more than 15,000 adults found that 43 percent of employed Americans said they spent at least some time working remotely. Similar stats apply in other parts of the globe.

As an IT manager, it’s important to understand the key trends in endpoint management, how organizations are dealing with the rise in mobile users, and how you can effectively manage security, users and endpoint devices in this increasingly digital world.

While having a more distributed workforce increases business opportunities and generates more satisfied employees, device management has become much more complex. Not only do IT admins need to manage more and more endpoints, but they are also responsible for the security of their organization’s most critical data — as well as maintaining compliance with increasingly complex regulations.

If you are nodding and thinking it’s a lot to juggle, you are not alone. IT Pro Today conducted a study among IT professionals revealing that only one in five respondents (18 percent) believe their current endpoint management strategy “definitely” supports both their bring-your-own-device (BYOD) program and their corporate-owned devices. In addition, nearly half of all respondents with compliance mandates (45 percent) find it challenging to keep with those standards.

It’s clear that organizations need to find unified endpoint management strategies that bring all these concerns under one roof to streamline tasks, provide greater visibility into what devices are connecting to system networks and also to help track compliance across the board.
