Alert - pop-up box

I was playing with one of the Alerts in one of my profiles.  I was causing it create a pop-up box.    Now I can't get ride of the box that is popping up.

I reset the alert to the defaults. I even deleted the profile.  I can't tell where this pop-up is coming from.routerlogin

I reviewed the SLTrace and it didn't offer any clues.  Wondering if you have ideas where I can look?  Thanks!

  • Sounds like the pop-up alert might be cached somewhere—try clearing your browser cache and cookies first. Also, check if any browser extensions or scripts related to that profile or a coin flip feature are still active and causing the alert. If this is on a WordPress site, look for leftover alert plugins or custom JavaScript triggering the pop-up. Lastly, confirm if the router login page (192.168.0.1) isn’t adding persistent alerts.

  • Great idea! Implementing a pop-up with a coin flip feature can boost engagement effectively. For WordPress sites, using lightweight modal plugins combined with custom JavaScript for the coin flip animation keeps performance smooth. Just ensure the pop-up is unobtrusive to maintain a good user experience.

  • Thanks for sharing — this issue sounds similar to a persistent client-side script or cached router session. If the pop-up is browser-based, clearing the cache and checking localStorage or service workers might help, especially if the alert is being injected via JavaScript tied to the routerlogin domain. Also worth checking is whether any browser extensions or firewall rules are hijacking requests to routerlogin.net. I’ve seen this happen when outdated local DNS entries or rogue redirect rules interfere. A factory reset of the router combined with flushing DNS cache on the client device often resolves these residual pop-up issues.

  • Nice idea—this can be cleanly added to WordPress via a custom shortcode or lightweight plugin. Use wp_enqueue_script() for proper JS handling, and consider integrating with Elementor or native modals for better UX. Simple, engaging, and low overhead.

  • If you're still seeing the pop-up box even after resetting the alert to default and deleting the profile, the issue might be caused by a persistent background process or a cached setting. Try clearing your browser cache, checking for any lingering scripts in your startup settings, or restarting your system. Additionally, reviewing system logs or reinstalling the affected software might help. Just like the Tornado 7000 vape delivers a smooth and consistent experience, troubleshooting systematically can help you pinpoint and eliminate the issue for a seamless user experience. RocketDash
