Report showing anywhere a specific group is detected

Hi,

We have a similar report available at the link: www.quest.com/.../61. Could you please verify if the report fulfills your requirement? If not, can you please provide us following information to further analyze your requirement:

1. Do you require locations that are permissioned directly? or indirectly permissioned?
2. How many domains do we have? How many groups are there in these domains? How many computers do we have in these domain? (Estimated numbers will work)

These queries will help us understand the performance of the report.

i've downloaded and imported the linked report, it does not appear to be a complete report, there is no way to tell it what ad group to look for, and the only thing contained is the sql query.  Not sure how i can test this.

1, direct permissions would be fine.

2, 4 domains in scope at this time, we only have discovery on for 2 of them at this point.  15k or so groups, 3 or 5k computers

is there any way to try and use the report you linked as a report?

more than willing to try it out, there just isn't any interface available when i import it

There is no input parameter in this report but you can directly run the report, export it to CSV or any other format. This will execute report for all accounts.

ahh, then this won't work.

we want a group focused report, not user focused.

and we really would want to be able to specify the group to report upon

this isn't what i asked for really, this is purely filesystem permissions.

it is a bit helpful, but doesn't really provide the complete picture.

the ask/need/requirement is to simply provide an ad group, and have a report display "all" permissions seen across "any" discovery, on any computer/resource/sql database/any other type of discovery that has been run.

literally looking for a report that i can plug a group into, and see "all" permissions "everywhere" that quest has discovered.

if a single report can't work across the different discovery types, then individual reports for each discovery type would be useful.  again, this is being looked at for doing active directory migrations and clean-up to try and identify where ad groups have been provisioned.

well, the asterisk processes did work for basic information.

i'd still be very interested in a general report across any/all discoveries for a one stop audit shop for any specific ad group without having to run 4 or 5 seperate reports to attempt to find info.

Thank you for this feedback and I will log an enhancement request for this type of report to be added to our report library in a future release.   Unfortunately we will not be able to create this report at this time, as the development is working on a future release.
