Modifying client outlook settings

I know that the Migration Manager for Exchange as a utility for modifying the Client Outlook settings to point to a new exchange server after a migration. Will that utility work if you are only using the Migration Manager for AD? We will be using MM-AD to migrate users from one AD to another, but the mail is in OFFICE365 and we will be migrating the mail to a new Office365 tenant with a different tool. We want to be able to automatically change the client Outlook settings to point to the new Office365 but the other tool does not do that.
