Chalk up another win for vRanger / vReplicator: SAN-like RTO and RPO at a fraction of the cost

Quest published another case study today, outlining a nice example of cost-effective disaster recovery at the local government sector. The City of Oakbrook Terrace has implemented a vRanger / vReplicator solution offering impressive improvements for the City's DR capabilities:

  • Reduced the recovery time objective (RTO) by 98% - from more than 3 days to just one hour
  • Reduced the recovery point objective (RPO) by 83% - from 24 hours to four hours
  • Delivered the same RTO and RPO as a SAN solution at 10% of the cost - $5,000 instead of $50,000
  • Delivered time savings of 3 days per year in server maintenance

Quest would like to thank Current Technologies Corporation and the City of Oakbrook Terrace for their time and effort in getting this story published. Check out the full case study at the link here and enjoy!
