Rapid Recovery core failed to update.

Fix action for:

"Dell Core on CRYONICS has reported the Error event "Automatic update has been failed":

The update to the version 6.1.3.100 has failed

Auto Update Exception

The 'RapidRecoveryCore' service has not been stopped by the installer process within the timeout of 00:30:00.

According to logs it failed since could it not stop the core while tryng to update to 6.1.3.100

How do I get the core to update to 6.1.3.100 and then update to a 6.2 version?

Hi, I am not sure what build you are upgrading from, but if it is AppAssure 5.4.3 or higher, you can upgrade directly to the latest build. Please see https://support.quest.com/rapid-recovery/kb/181997/how-to-upgrade-to-the-most-recent-version-of-rapid-recovery for best practice.

Regarding the auto update failure, it indicates the core was busy and did not stop in a timely fashion for the upgrade to occur.

Please note, auto update for builds prior to 6.1.3, will only auto update to 6.1.3. To upgrade to builds higher than 6.1.3, you must run at least one manual install. This is due to GDPR. In order for Auto updates to continue past 6.2 or newer builds, you must accept the use of personal data in the installer.
