Rapid Recovery Agent for Linux Ubuntu 22.04?

There are 3 options you can use to install Rapid Recovery 6.8 on Ubuntu 22.04

1.You can download the Rapid Recovery 6.8 repo for ubuntu 22.04 from the Support Portal.

Download Rapid Recovery 6.8 Agent Repository Package for Debian 8 - 12 and Ubuntu 15 - 22 (x64) (quest.com)

I installed the rapidrecovery-repo-6.8.0.402-debian8-x86_64.deb package and then executed the next command to install the agent: sudo apt-get install rapidrecovery-agent

The 6.8.0.402 was installed successfully as you can see in the next screenshot https://app.screencast.com/4yMA2VJfResem

Then proceed to run the rapidrecovery-config to add the user, configure ports and compile kernel drivers as suggested in the next guide:

 2. Another option is to download and execute the script to download the packages from the next link: 

Download Rapid Recovery 6.8 Downloader script for offline Linux Agent installation (quest.com)

I executed that script and selected option 8 for Debian 8-10 / Ubuntu 16 - 19 x86_64. I'm making sure this is updated to reflect current supported versions but for the moment use this option for Ubuntu 22.04. 

That will download 3 packages to /root/rapidrecovery.packages/

I then installed them using: sudo dpkg -i *.deb

I was able to install the 6.0.8.402 packages as you can see in the next sreenshot: https://app.screencast.com/0IhbiB9SMU4ut 

3. There is another option to download a script from the next KB: Linux: Script to Install/Upgrade Rapid Recovery Agent (4040663) (quest.com)

To install the 6.8.0 agent you will need to execute the next command: sudo ./rr_install_utility.sh --install-only -v 6.8.0

This script is been updated to include Rapid Recovery 6.8. If you download it and execute it as it is right now, it will only let you install up to 6.7. This should be updated this promptly.

Thank you very much for the detailed response, I was able to get it installed and working on one of my servers, will do the others next.

The first option worked. I thought I had previously downloaded that same deb package, but a file compare indicated my two files were different, whatever the cause, it is working now which is what matters at this point.

My only issue remaining is figuring out how to get it to install on my laptop. It is running Pop OS 22.04, which is Ubuntu 22.04 under the hood. I have not dug into it yet, suspect it may be as easy as forcing the dpkg install.
