SQL Server Connection Failure

We use the spotlight

Version: 12.4.0.24

Diagnostic Server Scripts version: 31.0.0.24

We have some connection alert with spotlight monitoring. We also monitor this sql server with SCOM with no connection alert. Sql server have nothing in sql server log. Can you give me some way to resolve this stuation.

Spotlight has raised an alarm:

Connection: cpw1-sql-pdb43

Time: Tuesday, February 25, 2020 10:25:09 AM

Severity: High

Monitored Server - SQL Server Connection Failure: Cannot connect to SQL Server instance 'cpw1-sql-pdb43' : A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.) : The specified network name is no longer available [64]

Hi Louis,
The alarm could be raised due to temporary network blockage between Spotlight Diagnostic Server and the monitored server. I would open the Connection Properties of that connection and under Advanced Options settings, increase the number of retries and timeout metrics.
