How great is Seattle? You’ve got some of the best coffee in the world, breathtaking views from the Washington State ferries, Safeco Field, Mount Rainier National Park, Capitol Cider and, of course, Pike Place.

But once you’ve savored a rich cup of Joe at La Marzocco and nearly gotten knocked out by a 20-pound halibut sailing through the air at the fish market, you may be wondering what to do next.

Come say hi to us.

We’re ready and waiting to get to know you better at PASS Summit. We’re in booth 212 and we have some of the coolest giveaways at pretty much any tradeshow ever – imagine going home with an Oculus Virtual Reality System, a drone, a smart watch or even a smart speaker. And we also have some of the most innovative solutions for SQL Server out there right now. But the real reason to come say hi, is that we’ve got some of the best people you’re gonna meet in Seattle.

We’re different – different good.

See, we’re not here to push products down your throat. We’re not here to talk at you like some of the other experts might. We’re here to listen. Because there’s truly nothing we’re more passionate about than hearing your challenges and working together to solve them.

We’re back to being Quest®, and we’re taking you to the future.

Great Scott, have we gone back to our roots! We’re getting out there in the community and delivering powerful toolsets that include all the functionality SQL Server pros like you are asking for. So come discover exciting new ways to work with databases, earn a bunch of raffle tickets and, best of all, meet some new friends.

Who are we?

Well, this is us:

Megan Cynaumon

Megan lives in Orange County, CA, and has worked in marketing at Quest for six years. She’s the marketing manager for Quest’s Information Management business, promoting products like Toad®, Spotlight®, and SharePlex®. She loves reading new books with her book club, working out, soaking up sunshine at the beach and watching an amazing sunset.

What she’s most excited for at PASS: Meeting new and potential customers

Favorite quote from “Back to the Future”: “It means your future hasn't been written yet; no one's has. Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one.”

Laurie Geers

Laurie manages the advertising and social media for our Information Management business unit. If you see an ad or a social media post about one of our awesome products, like Toad, SharePlex, Foglight® or Spotlight, chances are it’s from her. A lover of all things marketing, PASS Summit will be Laurie’s first conference with Quest. In her free time she enjoys traveling to new places (she tries to see at least two new countries each year), visiting Disneyland, hiking and wine tasting.

Why she’s excited about PASS Summit: It’s her first conference since working for Quest. So she’s looking forward to interacting with customers and hearing how Quest products make their lives easier. She’s also looking forward to meeting coworkers whom she’s only interacted with via email or calls.

Robert Pound

Robert Pound is a product technologist for Quest in the Information Management group. Robert delivers web content for the database management products, so chances are if you are trying to figure out how to get the most out of Toad or if you’re looking for more info on a certain feature, you may be watching a video or reading a blog that he created. He has been with Quest since 2013 and has a range of different roles around database management and data protection.

Robert has two happy, healthy kids that keep him busy. In his fleeting spare time, he likes to mess around with Unity3D to build out games. He is a Steven King fan and likes camping/hiking and is a recent motorcycle enthusiast (CB350F).

Why he’s excited about PASS Summit: What he likes about PASS is that he always learns something new. Whether it’s new information on SQL Server, industry news or how customers have been empowered through Quest tools, there is invariably something new that he takes away from PASS Summit. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up with the Quest family.

Claudia is a senior product marketing manager at Quest, managing the database performance monitoring product portfolio. She is a familiar face at PASS Summit and a behind-the-scenes product marketing maniac. She’s passionate about Foglight, Spotlight and LiteSpeed® and just loves hanging out with DBAs. Claudia lives up in the clouds in California’s Enchanted Forrest (yes, really!) and loves hiking, gardening and creating magical fairy gardens.

Why she’s excited about PASS Summit: It’s her favorite event of the year and she can’t wait to connect with customers, colleagues, the PASS staff and the entire SQL Server community. She also loves Seattle in the fall. It’s going to be another great event!

Favorite quote from “Back to the Future”: “Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one.”

Richard Rowe

Richard is a user experience designer on the Spotlight team. He works on the design of our products like Spotlight Cloud (which will be released soon!) and Spotlight Extensions for SQL Server Management Studio. Richard helps ensure the features we include for performance monitoring add value and are easy to use and understand. He and his team draw on the expertise and experience of our domain experts and on research and user testing. Outside of work, he likes to play a sport that isn’t well known -- underwater hockey! You read that correctly. This sport is played in swimming pools all around the world.

What he’s most excited for at PASS: Talking to PASS attendees and learning more about what they look for in their database monitoring tools. Oh, and John's magic show, of course. He’s definitely looking forward to that.

Anat Dror

Anat is a SQL Server and DB2 domain expert with more than 20 years of experience in a long list of IT-related roles. She has worked with SQL Server since version 6.5. In her current role with Quest, she brings database performance management solutions to life. In her free time, she likes to read books, hike, cook and spend time with her family.

What she’s most excited for at PASS: She’s attended a few times before, including as a presenter, and always enjoys meeting other DBAs, exchanging ideas and learning something new.

Susan Wong

Susan has been a solutions architect for SharePlex since 1999 as well as for other database products like Foglight, Spotlight, Toad and LiveReorg. When she’s not helping businesses understand how they can use SharePlex to minimize database downtime, improve database performance and meet database project plans, Susan can be found on the tennis court, slicing shots and dicing her opponents. Whether it be traveling to present what SharePlex can do, or exploring obscure and not-so-obscure parts of the world, the travel bug is always present. What better way could there be to realize all the wonders life has to offer – bungee jumping in New Zealand, rock climbing in the Dolomites, skiing in Chile, hiking in Iceland, surfing in Costa Rica, scuba diving in the Bahamas or just jumping off rocks at Lake Powell.

What she’s most excited for at PASS: Besides having dinner at Purple and picking up Anthony’s fish and chips at the airport on the way home, she’s excited to show how SharePlex can help replicate to a SQL Server target on-premises, in the cloud or to Oracle. Having talked about this at previous PASS shows, she’s happy to announce its release.
