[MUSIC PLAYING] Oh, man, before this I was a recruiter for a contract doctor company. And my roommate worked here for about six months before I moved over. And he was like, Allen, you got to come to Quest. And I poked around a little bit, talked to some people, and all the reviews were glowing. So it seemed like a no-brainer to make the move over here.
So I started as a Sales Development Representative coming from teaching. So I was completely new to the industry. I had a clear career path from then when I met with my manager. And he pushed me out of my comfort zone to really always get to the next step, and told me this is where I need to be as an Inside Account Executive, and helped me get there.
I've learned my new role through asking a ton of questions. Every single question I have, I just ask it. There's no bad question.
Quest is actually the first company in my sales career that has actively given me the ball and allowed me to run with it. I started as a BDR, Business Development Rep. And I was able to earn promotions throughout the years, gone from BDR to the Inside Team, covering some of the states to covering Canada. And now my current role is the Mid-Market AE. So they've allowed me to grow within by working hard.
The support I get from everyone here is really what helps me push forward-- learning the different solutions, helping out with the day-to-day job, and talking with people. Everyone on the team and my Manager, they've given me all kinds of feedback. And they're always there for me whenever I have questions or need anything from them.
The thing I like most about working with Quest is really the energy. It's so uplifting and positive. No one makes you feel too small. Everyone is your biggest cheerleader. And they really help you grow professionally but also personally as just an everyday person.
What I love most about working at Quest is the atmosphere, right? Cool, we're all coworkers, right? But at the same time, we're all friends too. It really is that simple. I've never had a culture like the culture at Quest.
What I like most about being a Sales Development Rep is that the work is challenging. Every day I come in and there's a different problem that I have to solve, for whether that be for a customer or internally. So every day is a challenge. And I get to walk away every day feeling rewarded.
Quest has helped me grow as a person. I've really gained confidence in trying new roles I didn't originally think I could handle, really pumping me up to help me realize I can do it and confidently succeed in the roles as well.
My teammates are awesome. In simplest terms, they're awesome. We all help each other. Nobody has an ego. Nobody's too big for a small problem. If I need something, I know I can go to them and vice versa.
