Charles is an Oracle ACE Director and VMware vExpert. He specializes in Mission Critical Databases, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and Shareplex/GoldenGate. He authored books covering these topics and more, such as Linux, Exadata, Virtualization, and Big Data. Charles sat on the panel of Oracle experts at VMworld and OpenWorld for virtualization and Linux. Charles co-founded the virtualization SIG and is currently the President of the Cloud Computing SIG for IOUG.
