This dashboard was created for the IT operational/support peoples and services states... The client have problems with the visibility about how user are running, what application are available, etc.
Quickly I expose some cases and how we have resolved with Foglight…
How summary, for the client (Supermakets), the important is to know:
In General:
1.- How many users are connected
2.- How many containers or Virtual Machines are available for new user connections.
3.- How many user are assigned how static or persistent and how many user are assigned how non persistent or mobiles user.
4.- Ho many servers are available for the VDI Services (100%, 80 %, etc).
In specific:
1.- How many users are connected, Computers available, Users persistent and non-persistent for a specified Application or Virtual Desktop…

2.- How many users are connected, Computers available,etc for each business units

3.- Map About how many users are working in the specified city and with which application or virtual desktop name.

This is many important for Client, because when have problem with application, networks, etc the Supermaket need to know when user have problems and what applications to prioritize support. This is important beacouse is a supermarket (Big Supermarket with 250 different points) the merchandise is received at different times and in the case of SAP application not found, the supermarket cannot receive the products.

This dashboard and implementation is running all time (24x7) on the operational monitor / console inside the servers room and alert with SMS and Emails.
When any indicator/alarm changes, FogLight send SMS and Emails alert automatically to the infrastructure team to investigate de problem.
