1) This dashboard provides our Application Server administration group, a clear picture of what application servers are running
and what blackout's are applied to each application server. This page is the default page for monitoring all of our application
servers and is our first port of call for analysis of problems as we can drill down into the application server container.
2) The driving force of this dashboard was to provide a clear and concise view of all application servers in our organisation regardless of type.
It shows whether the container is up or down, alarmed as well as showing if there is a blackout applied to the container. There is no functionality in the current
Foglight to show what Application Servers are blacked out easily. The dashboard itself was created using tables and queries and leverages the different
views of the application servers for drill down detailed analysis. The alarms from JEE objects are data driven and as such, when scheduled work is performed on the
application server you need to black it out and then remove the blackout. There was no way of seeing these blackouts and if the blackout was in effect in any
graphical manner before this dashboard came into existence.
