could not be restored because NetVault was unable to determine information about the filesystem on which the item was to be restored

Trying to restore a backup to a different server location on the network

  • Best Practice:

    Destination client for restore should Netvault client installed and it can be targetted via Target client from the restore job.

    In the Target Client list, select the restore target. To restore data to the same client (from which data was backed up), use the default setting.
    To restore data to an alternate client, select the target client in the list. Alternatively, click Choose. In the Choose the Target Client dialog box, select the client, and click OK.
