Interforest AD and Mailbox migration using QMM AD

Interforest AD and Mailbox migration using QMM AD

I'm migrating a 500 hundred AD users from ABC.Loacl to UK.ABC.COM . In the target Environment we have  created 2010  Exchange environment for mailbox enabled users.

Source Environment

Domain functional level is Windows 2008

AD functional level is windows 2008

Exchange 2010 SP3

I need to migrate (from abc.local) users accounts ,Groups ,Workstation’s and file and print server and user Mailbox( to uk.abc.com)

Target Environment

Domain functional level is Windows 2012

AD functional level is windows 2012

Exchange 2010 SP3

What  is the best steps to take to approach this and was thinking of the below process:

  1. Enable directory sync from source to target, creating all user objects, groups and contacts as disabled in the target.
  2. Migrate user accounts in batches
  3. 3.Run AD processing wizard.
  4. 4.Run Exchange processing wizard
  5. 5.Run Resource update manager on user desktops and laptops
  6.  6.Migrate user desktops and laptops over
  7. Migrate servers across.

Also suggest the QMMAD licensing procurement

8.How many licensing required for AD object negation and Exchange mailbox object migration.
