Intra forest migration and O365/Azure

Hi.

Anyone has any experience on collapsing multid domain forests when the users are in hybrid with Azure/O365?

Customer has forest with 2 domains +  empty root. We want to collapse the two domains to one.

Users are synced to O365 with AD-connect, and mailboxes/skype are in o365.

Can't find any guidelines on how to best achieve such scenario.

Will exchange/skype related attributes on users (and groups) be copied to the migrated user?

Also we need to make sure that we don't get duplicate users in o365 when the new target user is created.

At this time i'm also considering if ADMT would make this process easier when it comes to users, as it just "moves" the user containing the same object guid, but when it comes to migrating workstations/servers i would still like the RUM experience of QMM better.

Any tips or feedback would be appreciated.
