12.01.04 linux pure 64 client fails to install

Tried to install the Linux 12.01.04 linux client today - only doc I could find on google said to decompress it... no file extension not a compressed file, finally took a look inside and see its an ELF...

tried to execute it, goes all the way to 100% and then

Problem running Post-install step. Installation did not complete correctly, Error creating dynamic link /usr/netvault/lib/libnv6audit.so /usr/lib64/libnv6audit.so

thats all, not working

  • Thanks, that did it..   I am normally loathe to even open the docs ... but this did indeed give me the steps I had to do to make it work...

    Don't suppose you could point me to documentation on how to use the bare metal and iso maker etc?  I have actually looked for this in the install doc etc, but can't find it mentioned anywhere.  I think it would be better to have a doc for each plugin and feature - that could be downloaded with each plugin or feature.  The main install doc is unwieldy and hard to find what I am looking for, a succinct how to on each plugin would be better IMHO.
