I spent the past couple of days at the Velocity Conference. For those of you not familiar with Velocity, it’s a conference put on by O’Reilly focused on web operations & performance. In the last few years, they have expanded the conference globally to include conferences in Europe & Asia and an additional North American location in New York. We’ve been an exhibitor the past few years but this was my first time personally attending. Given the audience & location, I fully expected to be impressed by the topics & the knowledge of the speakers, and I was not disappointed. For anyone who wants to learn about best practices for running their web applications, I highly recommend attending.
Some other important things happened at Velocity this week for Foglight. It was our first time publicly showing the new Foglight APM SaaS Edition. We had been doing selective previews of the product to customers in the preceding months but we are now actively seeking beta users.
As part of this effort, we went live with our new product microsite – https://www.quest.com/foglight/ – as a new way to share product information with customers. If you are interested in learning more about this major new version of Foglight APM, please visit https://www.quest.com/foglight/ where you can take a “virtual tour” of the product and even sign up for a beta invitation.
